Weekend Fun in Carlisle PA

Are you looking for Family Fun? Found it - at Carlisle's Ford Parade and Street Party on Saturday, June 2nd. Live music, lots of Fords, and great dining at downtown restaurants make this a fun evening!

Are you looking for a wonderful Arts and Crafts Festival?  Found it - in Boiling Springs, PA at the annual Foundry Day Festival.  There is an special addition to this year's festival: A Quilt Show. Over 150 quilts will be displayed and there will be appraisals, vendors, and quilting demonstration.

And of course, this weekend is the Carlisle Ford Nationals! There will be over 2200 Fords of all types on display during the weekend. This year is the Shelby American 50th Anniversary with a special tribute to the man who contributed to the automotive world.

If you are looking for something a little more relaxing, visit the Harrisburg Symphony Show House for a little "Serenity on the Yellow Breeches". A number of interior designers have done some special work to prepare the house for your tour AND raise money to support The Harrisburg Symphony.

For more ideas of things to do in the Carlisle area, check out the events list at our visitors' bureau website.

Have a great weekend of Family Fun, Foundry Day, First Friday, and Fords - all near Pheasant Field Bed & Breakfast!

Wonderful Wedding at Pheasant Field Bed & Breakfast

One of the most memorable moments came as the Bride and Groom had their first dance...

Table set just for the Bride and Groom!

The cake was yummy and was surrounded by wedding pictures of parents and grandparents.

Yes! It IS an elephant!  The ice sculpture was a fun way to serve their signature drink!

An "apple table" was the setting for the fruit cups.

These were the "Tiny Attendants" who arrived in their own "coach"
May God bless this wonderful, young couple as they begin their new life as husband and wife.

Wedding & Reception in Carlisle PA

On Saturday, May 26th, Ashley & Steven will say "I do" here at Pheasant Field Bed & Breakfast.  The ceremony will include music provided by her sister as the soloist (singing one of Ashley's favorite songs) accompanied by Steven's uncle on the keyboard.  The processional and recessional music will be provided by another cousin playing the bagpipe.  We are looking forward to some fun refreshments including a Slushie machine making Apple Cider slushies!
Watch for pictures in the next few days.  We wish Ashley and Steven many happy years of love, joy, health, prosperity, enough sunshine to keep them warm and enough rain to make rainbows!

Weddings in Carlisle PA

We are ready! Our first outdoor wedding and reception of the season will be held here at Pheasant Field Bed & Breakfast tomorrow.  "Team Pheasant Field" worked really hard yesterday and today to make our grounds look great, to set up tables & chairs, decorate the tent, clean everything outside (did you ever scrub a pergola?), and now - we are ready!  Chris & Tammy will begin their "Happily Ever After" tomorrow, right here at the B&B.  We wish them all the best!

We have enjoyed hosting two fishermen from eastern Tennessee for the last five days.  We heard a few "fish stories" during their stay, but also there was a lot of laughter and praise for their guide, Tom. We look forward to hosting these two southern gentlemen (or east Tennessee "hill-williams") again when they come back to do a little fly fishing in Carlisle, PA. (Yes guys - you are on the "good list"!)

We are hosting some parents of a graduating Messiah College student and next weekend we will host Dickinson College parents for graduation.  We wish those students well on the beginning of their new journey. Congratulations to the parents too!

Whatever your reason for visiting Carlisle, come "home" to a Pennsylvania B&B - Pheasant Field Bed & Breakfast - a better way to stay!

Planting a tree at Pheasant Field B&B

The great shape of these trees grabs your interest and makes you want to explore the bridge and sit by the pond under the pergola. So, we just had to replace the lost tree with another just like it!  Well as you can see, the new tree is just as tall as the one beside it - but it has A LOT of "filling out" to do!  Let's hope that the weather is favorable for a wonderful growing season for our new Weeping Nootka Cypress tree!

We have babies!  We know these little birds will grow and grow and grow!  Soon we will not be able to distinguish the babies from the mom and dad!
First Friday is happening in Carlisle PA this weekend!

Take a hike!  ...A full moon night hike on Super Moon Saturday! The hike will take place at nearby Pine grove Furnace State Park. Hear the sounds of the night in the woods and see the largest full moon we will experience for a very long time.

Come to Carlisle PA and find a Better Way to Stay - at Pheasant Field Bed & Breakfast!
