It's happening NOW in Carlisle! The Spring Carlisle Collector Car Show opened this week and continues through Sunday, April 29th. The weather has been brisk, but the rain has stayed away - so it's been comfortable and busy at the Carlisle Fairgrounds. Come to the show and find that wonderful car (or car parts) you've always wanted!
The car show is not the only thing happening in Carlisle this weekend. Tonight at the Carlisle Theatre, Grammy and CMA Award winner, Kathy Mattea will perform. Kathy's signature hit, “Eighteen
Wheels and a Dozen Roses” won the 1988 CMA Single of the Year Award. She also performed and made famous a Christmas favorite, "Mary Did You Know?".
On Saturday, stop by History on High - the Shop, to meet author Eileen Graham who will be happy to sign her book, "The Outlander's Journal: Essays on Country Life". Eileen wrote of growing up in rural PA, near the apple orchards of Adams County. Many locals will be able to identify with her musings!
While the Ohio group was here at the B&B, we also had a couple visiting from Germany. The German couple had never heard of German Chocolate cake! (I think it's actually a PA/OH Amish creation.) The Germans said it was delicious and now their new, most favorite cake!
All 10 of these guests also enjoyed watching our equine travelers as they were heading to their northern homes for the summer. Last week we hosted 13 horse travelers and 10 canine friends on their way home from their winter retreats.
Pheasant Field B&B will be celebrating its 18th Anniversary in May! Watch for news about Anniversary specials and remembrances of our years in hospitality!
