B&B Conference for MidAtlantic Innkeepers

Chuck & I spent a few day touring around Colonial Williamsburg before attending the MidAtlantic Innkeepers Conference at the Colonial Williamsburg Lodge.
We have been connecting with innkeepers from VA, WV, OH, NJ, and PA. There are even some aspiring innkeepers from OK here to learn more about this wonderful business! I'm learning more about how to communicate with you, our guests, and how to reach more people who may have never tried a B&B.

In our spare time, we have taken some time to dine at one of the historic taverns in the historic town. Dinner at the King's Arms Tavern was wonderful - complete with a strolling musician! We spent some time talking with George Wythe, a highly respected Virginia attorney and signer of the Declaration of Independence. The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation does a wonderful job of bringing history to life and teaching us all about our heritage.
We drive home tomorrow with more ideas to improve Pheasant Field Bed & Breakfast.
This weekend is a great time to visit the Carlisle area and support the arts in Central PA. The Harrisburg Symphony will offer tours of their show house before the designers start their work to redecorate for the house tour beginning in May.
