Celebrity Equine Guest

We love hosting equine guests at Pheasant Field B&B and have had opportunities to greet some equine "celebrities". Last night we had another special horsey guest. "Ondulee" (see picture) is the great, great, great, granddaughter of the one and only "Secretariat"! Ondulee was coming from her home at Sutton Place Farm in TN and going to upstate NY. Sutton Place is a well respected Thoroughbred breeding farm and has wonderful bloodlines in their herds.

Maybe your horse doesn't have champion bloodlines but I'm sure it's a winner in your heart! Bring your equine companion when passing through our area. We will be happy to provide a comfortable layover for you and your horse too - whether it's a champion or just a wonderful pet.

Here you can see where the birds decided to "plant" it...

Come to Carlisle, PA, this Friday July 15th, stay with us , and you will take home a vase of cut flowers from our gardens at Pheasant Field Bed & Breakfast.

What's happening in Carlisle, PA

This weekend is packed full of fun stuff to do in Carlisle, PA!

The Chryslers are back! At the Carlisle Fairgrounds this weekend, there’s nothing quite like it anywhere in the world with over 2,100 vehicles from all eras of the Chrysler brand: classics, muscle cars, high-performance new models and more. Meet John Schneider from "The Dukes of Hazzard" and Cindy Williams and Paul Le Mat from "American Graffiti", who will appear for autographs on Friday morning. We will have our own mini car show here at the B&B with all the wonderful classic cars that our guests bring!

Bring your lawn chair to enjoy Bluegrass on the Grass at Dickinson College on Saturday, July 9th, from 1-9 PM. Free live music - there's no better way to spend a Saturday evening!

SummerFair continues through the weekend with "All Shook Up" on stage at the Carlisle Theatre, a fishing derby in Boiling Springs, and an outdoor movie ("A League of Their Own"). It's free fun!

If all of those activities make you tired, you can always watch the fireflies from the front porch swing here at Pheasant Field B&B!

Have a great weekend!
