Things to do in Carlisle, PA

Fall arrives this Friday. We have already felt some cooler nights and see some of the leaves changing their colors. When that starts to happen, we know it's time for parents' weekends at local colleges!

Welcome parents and families of Dickinson students! This weekend is family weekend at Dickinson College and Carlisle has lots of things planned to keep you busy downtown and in the area.

The Harvest of the Arts Festival will begin at 10 AM on Saturday in downtown Carlisle. Lots of artists and craftsmen will set up on High Street to demonstrate and sell their creations. Wonderful music and food will also be available to fill your soul and your tummy! Farmers on the Square will add a Saturday sale day too. This town will be hopping!

The Carlisle Theatre will keep you entertained into the evening on both Friday and Saturday nights. "Project Nim", an independent film about the first efforts to teach sign language to chimps, will be showing on Friday night. Country Music artist Collin Raye will be performing on Saturday night. A local group (one of my most favorite groups ever!), Voxology, will be the leading act of the evening.

Come to Carlisle this weekend for food, music, arts, and entertainment! Pheasant Field Bed & Breakfast is proud to call Carlisle, PA its home town!
