Flyover at a Wedding in Carlisle

On Saturday, 9/19/09, Pheasant Field Bed & Breakfast hosted a beautiful wedding and reception, for a wonderful couple, on an absolutely spectacular weather day! Each and every ceremony and reception held here is special to us. And many times the couple will try to do something just a little "different" to make their day unique.

In this case, the bride's father pilots his own small plane and, of course, has a group of pilot friends. Several of his friends performed a "flyover" just at the end of the ceremony. One of the planes was a WW II vintage biplane which performed several loops and a series of turns called "tying the knot". How appropriate for a wedding!

We wish Jeff and Stacey lots of joy, love, peace, health, prosperity, and happiness as they begin their new life life together. And we thank them for allowing Pheasant Field B&B to be part of their very special day!

Carlisle PA History

Thomas Jefferson and John Adams will be visiting Carlisle PA on the evening of Saturday, September 19. "Jefferson and Adams: A Stage Play" will be performed at the Carlisle Theatre at 7:00 PM and the admission price is FREE! This production comes from Colonial Williamsburg and shows the extraordinary friendship between these two presidents. Come to Carlisle PA for history, antiques, art, and great restaurants too.

Also that weekend the "Market at Washingtonburg" will be held at the US Army Heritage Center, located just 3 miles from Pheasant Field Bed & Breakfast. Crafters will be demonstrating candle making, weaponry, sewing, pottery making, and spinning in the ways from Colonial times. It will be a great history lesson all weekend long!

Weddings in Carlisle

The weather this weekend will be absolutely BEAUTIFUL for the Wedding and Reception to be hosted at Pheasant Field in Carlisle! Our bride and groom have a wonderful design vision with sleek lines in classic black and white. We wish Kim and Ryan all the best for their special day and for the rest of their lives!

Also in the area this Labor Day weekend - The Kapona Festival will be happening in nearby Harrisburg. It's a celebration of the wide Susquehanna River and the last blast of summer. Food, fun, fireworks, arts & crafts, music, and summer sun -- who could ask for anything more????

Have a safe and fun Labor Day weekend!
